Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Wednesday that his country has signed an agreement to produce and export 48 KAAN fighter jets to Indonesia.
In a statement, Erdogan said that under the agreement, 48 KAAN fighter jets will be produced in Turkiye and exported to Indonesia, noting that Indonesia's domestic capabilities will be utilized in the production.
It is worth noting that the KAAN fighter jet is a fifth-generation fighter developed by the Turkish Aerospace Industries and can perform air-to-air combat missions and conduct precision strikes from its internal weapon bays at supersonic speeds.
