Doha, Qatar: The Primary Health Care Corporation advised the public to remain cautious when outdoors during the windy conditions.
In a social media post, PHCC noted that dust carried by strong winds may trigger attacks in asthma patients hence they should limit outdoor exposure during peak winds.
It also advised individuals with respiratory conditions to avoid dust exposure and wear a mask when needed while carrying inhaler at all times to manage sudden symptoms.
PHCC cautioned older persons with eye sensitivity to protect their eyes and avoid rubbing them and adhere to prescribed medications that helps reduce symptom flare-ups, especially during windy conditions.
