Doha: The Third Annual LightingTech Qatar Conference organised by Advanced Conferences & Meetings (ACM) ended at City Centre Rotana, Doha. It brought together government entities, industry regulators, lighting designers and consultants and technology providers to discuss lighting projects, associated opportunities, government regulations and industry standards.
Fabian John Marsh from Public Works Authority (Ashghal) gave a presentation on setting road safety targets in Qatar through iRAP. Other speakers highlighted the lighting safety design procedures; LED applications for road lighting in Middle East countries; a case study on high-tech lighting solutions for Al Bayt Stadium; lighting standards and certification and lessons learned from the UAE; and a case study on high luminance tunnel thresholds.
