Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday welcomed Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his delegation at Hamad International Airport.
Prince Mohammed arrived on a short fraternal visit to Qatar.
Later, the Emir met Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Al Bahr Palace.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman conveyed to the Emir greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and their wishes of good health and happiness for him and more progress and prosperity for Qatari people.
The Emir entrusted the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince to convey his greetings to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef and his wishes of good health and happiness for them and more progress and prosperity for the Saudi people.
Talks dealt with fraternal relations between both countries, means of enhancing and advancing them in a way that serves the interests of both peoples, and regional and international issues of common concern, especially the latest developments in the region and endeavours to sustain its security.
Sheikhs and ministers as well as the Saudi delegation were present.
The Emir also hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his delegation.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his delegation later left Doha. They were seen off at Hamad International Airport by Qatar Olympic Committee President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar Media Corporation Chairman Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, and Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Abdulla Al Aifan.QNA
