Doha: The Josoor Institute is continuing to serve delegates – along with the wider community – despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With the vast majority of people currently working from home, the Qatar 2022 legacy programme has moved quickly to ensure all of its classes are delivered online for the time being, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) said on its website.
That’s good news for professional diploma programme delegates, along with people who are keen to learn more about the sports and events industries. Delegates are continuing to learn from global experts thanks to online courses, while others will soon have the chance to access the programme’s vast knowledge hub, including education and training materials, via its website: www.josoorinstitute.qa.
Josoor Institute’s management implemented business continuity solutions after Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education suspended attendance at schools and universities in March. This meant that the second block of classes for Josoor Institute’s flagship professional diploma programmes in sports and major events management needed to move online in order to cater for 91 delegates.
Afraa Al Noaimi, Executive Director of Josoor Institute, said: “We have a shared responsibility to ensure that we fulfil our education mission while protecting the health and safety of our delegates and instructors. To that end, we worked closely with our academic partner, SDA Bocconi, in order to continue delivering our professional diploma programmes remotely using online instruction. I’m delighted to report that engagement and feedback were excellent – we are proud of being able to continue our work during these testing times.”
