Doha: Grandparents Day was celebrated at MES Indian School in honour of grandparents on the virtual platform on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, General Secretary MC Muhamed referred to the positive influence and boundless affection that grandparents shower on grandchildren.
School Principal, Hameeda Kadar felicitated the grandparents and emphasised the crucial role played by them in guiding the future generation with the help of their worldly knowledge and wisdom. Uzma Fatimee, Head of Junior Section, felicitated the grandparents on the occasion.
The students of the Junior Section showcased their veneration and affection to the grandparents in the form of a dance performance. A video presentation on the ‘Importance of Grandparents’ was dedicated to all grandparents. Liana, a student of the Junior Section, enthralled the audience with her captivating performance of an action song.
The ‘Voice of Love’, recorded videos of grandparents’ talents turned out to be eye-catching. The members of Junior Section faculty and kids displayed thanksgiving notes on the screen as a tribute to their great storytellers.
E-certificates for the participants were awarded virtually as a token of appreciation. Lucky grandparents were selected through a lucky draw. Fency Pathrose organised the event. Safa Sheikh, welcomed the audience and Miss Mehreen Hafis proposed a vote of thanks.
