Doha: Chaliyar Doha felicitated the newly elected President of Indian Sports Center (ISC), an apex body of the Indian Embassy, Dr. Mohan Thomas in a ceremony held at the Wakra Green Stadium on Friday.
Chief Patron of Chaliyar Doha, Shaukatali TAJ presented the bouquet. President Abdul Latheef Feroke; General Secretary Zameel Abdul Wahid Chaliyam; Treasurer Keshav Das Nilambur; Sports Wing Chairman Siddique Vazhakkad and Ratheesh Kakove addressed the function.
Chaliyar Doha requested to work hard to bring and provide basic as well as advanced sports facilities to the Indian community only. These facilities will play a pivotal role in creating healthy and strong citizens of India that will further play a crucial role in the development of our nation. Chaliyar Doha requested Dr. Thomas a good self look into the matter.
In his reply speech, Dr. Thomas expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the reception and appreciation given by Chaliyar Doha. He also promised to do his utmost for the development of sports in the Indian community.
He added that a decision has been taken to formulate a project in collaboration with the Indian Embassy to set up a convention center and a ground for the Indian community.
