Shafallah Center participated in International Day of People with Disability (IDPD) marked this year, under the Theme 'All Together', which was held under the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani at the Marriott Hotel on Thursday.
The Prime Minister visited the Shafallah pavilion and was briefed on the activities of the center. He listened to a detailed explanation from Amal Al Mannai, CEO Qatar Foundation for Social Activities and Acting Executive Director of Shafallah.
The stall showcased the efforts of the students and their creativity to integrate them with the society and prepare them to meet the requirements of the job market and to enhance their personalities and build their self-confidence, said a statement yesterday. Paintings and drawing done by the Center's students were on display.
Every year Qatar Airways hires 35 students of the Center aged up to 21 years. Graduates of the Center help making gift bags for travelers of Qatar Airways Business Class. This gift bags includes different types of creams, perfumes, eye-covers, ear phones and socks which are made by the students of the Center.
