Manama: The State of Qatar took part yesterday at the opening session of the 12th edition of Manama Dialogue, held in Bahrain, with a delegation headed by Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry H E Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi.
The three-day event serves as an annual platform to exchange views on security challenges, bringing together a number of officials, businessmen, international figures, economists, politicians and strategic thinkers from Asia, Africa, North America, Latin America and Europe.
This year's edition held under the patronage of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain will discuss competition, conflict and peace in the Middle East along with management of regional variables metamorphism, extent of regional powers in response to environmental threats in the Middle East, fight against terrorism in the region, GCC and Asian geopolitical relationships and security challenges.
