Winners and officials of ‘Goalanza. Quiz With A Kick!’ contest.
Doha: ‘Goalanza. Quiz With A Kick!’, an open football quiz contest was recently organised by Infotainment Factree as part of the euphoria to the much-awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Held in association with Portugal Fans Club, the contest attracted almost 200 participants across ten different nationalities.
Subsequent to the Elimination Round through Google Form, the written prelims and the final among the four selected teams were contested at Pullman Doha West Bay, the Hospitality Partner for the event. In the final, the rounds were named Kick Off, Dribbling, Shooting, Chants, Throw-Ins, Mexican Wave and Penalty Shootout, terms associated with the game of football.
‘Strikers’, represented by Ayaan Sayed Rizwan and Abdul Aleem Hassan, both MES Indian School came out victorious while ‘The Conquerers’, represented by Ren Tony and Abijith Binoy Abraham, from Bhavan’s Public School, was the runner-up in a close finish after an intense seven rounds.
Quiz Master Shafqat Nabi, a brand management professional, columnist and a well-known name in Qatar’s quizzing circle, enthralled the participants and audience with his elan and a very interesting array on questions on the world of football.
The Chief Guest of the event, Miguel Heitor, Director of Football Development at Qatar Stars League, congratulated Infotainment Factree and Portugal Fans Qatar for their innovative initiative to educate people about the game football.
