DOHA: Ezdan Hotels, a subsidiary of Ezdan Holding Group, hosted over 1,155 delegates representing 45 countries around the world, who were here to participate in the recently concluded 12th World Robot Olympiad, said a statement yesterday.
World Robot Olympiad is one of the major youth robotics competitions in the world.
Ezdan Hotels received the delegates in the framework of supporting the international sports and scientific events sponsored by Qatar. The Hotel has been gearing up to host the students’ teams before the championship, and provided comprehensive accommodations throughout the days of the tournament, which lasted for three days, from November 6 to 8.
Nasser Al Abdulla, Ezdan Holding Group’s Deputy CEO, said that Ezdan Hotels’ mission is to provide infinite support for all international events and tournaments, particularly those in support of technological and scientific innovations that seek to promote the development of nations. Ezdan Hotel was eager to provide all necessary back-up, specifically to the delegations participating in this championship, out of its keenness in promoting innovation and creativity.
Ezdan Hotels’ management is honoured to always be the first in receiving delegations from various countries, especially when it comes to the youth and students who represent our future; hoping that Ezdan’s support to this event would meet the expectations and be at the level of the great importance that Qatar has given to this tournament.
Al Abdulla added that Ezdan’s development strategy of this year has yielded pride worthy results, since the Hotel has become a favourite destination for many delegations participating in various tournaments in Qatar thanks to the specialised accommodations provided. “We have recently hosted the IPC Athletics World Championships delegations where we have provided special services in 150 hotel rooms comprising of the latest technological devices designed specifically to accommodate guests with special needs, a first of its kind in hospitality business. In addition, we have recently hosted the delegations participating in the AIBA World Boxing Championship in the state of Qatar,” he noted.
Al Abdulla pointed out that Ezdan Hotels is currently working on developing a long term plan that will not only provide services to enhance the Hotels’ capacity, but also promote the quality of its services. He said: “This will make us the first destination for tourists and visitors of Qatar thanks to the integrated facilities that we will provide during visitors stay in the state. These facilities range from hotel services, transportation, recreational activities, as well as permanent offers for VIP guests. We aim with all of this to support the tourism and hospitality sector of the state of Qatar.”
