Doha: Qatar Development Fund yesterday signed an agreement with the Mauritanian government under which the Fund will provides a grant of $25m for the construction of three dams in Mauritania. The agreement was signed for the Fund by its Director General Khalifa Jassim Al Kuwari, and for the Mauritanian government by Minister of Water and Sanitation Mohamed Ould Khouna. Under the grant three dams will be built ranging in size from 20 to 50 million cubic metres. QNA
