DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Service (RAF) is building 15 housing units for those affected by the recent Israeli war in Gaza.
The project costs QR1.5m and each house is spread over an area of 71 square meters and includes two bedrooms, hall, bathroom and kitchen.
A total of 15 families or about 150 people whose homes were damaged during the war will benefit. The families were selected by RAF because they can’t afford alternative homes due to the high costs of houses in Gaza.
The project is being implemented in Al Zanah, East of Khan Younis, considered one of the biggest areas which suffered due to the Israeli war in 2014.
It will offer a better life for families living in shelters and will reduce the number of families in shelters whose homes were demolished during the war.
