DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Mannai Trading Company WLL, the dealer of GMC and Cadillac in Qatar, has announced the recall of GMC Yukon & Sierra and Cadillac Escalade 2011 -2012 models due to defects in the ignition lock actuator.
The recall decision is part of the ministry’s decision to make sure the dealers are committed to follow up defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
The Ministry has also affirmed that it will coordinate with Mannai Trading Company WLL to follow up the necessary maintenance and repair processes and will communicate with clients to ensure the success of the recall campaign as well as the implementation of the procedures to fix defects.
The Ministry urged consumers to report any abuses or irregularities to its department of consumer protection and commercial fraud combat.
