DOHA: The Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi-based Al Othman Holding providing for the establishment of a limited liability logistics company in the city of Dammam. The two partners will join forces to establish a multi-purpose logistics village in Dammam in the same vein as the Logistics Village Qatar.
The MOU was signed in Doha by GWC’s Chairman Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi (pictured) and Al Othman Holding’s Vice Chairman Abdullah Mohammed Al Othman, in the presence of GWC’s Managing Director, Board Member, and Acting Group CEO Abdulaziz Zeid Rashid Al Taleb.
The MOU provides the basic points that shape the cornerstone for the establishment of the proposed company. The MOU also contains provisions for the management of the proposed company, allowing GWC the larger role in the management and supervision of this project, drawing on GWC’s considerable expertise and qualifications in the Logistics Field.
“This project represents a turning point in our company’s journey,” said Al Emadi. “It is a point of pride for us to share our successful experiences with the Logistics Village Qatar with new international partners. It is our pleasure to act as commercial and economic ambassadors for the state of Qatar as we move forward on this project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
