Bright Future Pakistani International School (BFPIS) organised their Annual Sports Gala recently. The competition saw fierce competition among the four houses — Yellow, Red, Blue and Green.
Principal Imran Waheed highlighted the importance of sports in the holistic development of a child in his welcome address. On the first day, Sabah Salim, HOD of Physical Education in SEC, was the chief guest. On the second day, Samar Javed, Counselor Embassy of Pakistan, Dr Omar Khayaat, Qatar Olympic Council, and Lolwa Al Marri, Qatar Olympic Council, graced the occasion as chief guests.
During the sports gala in the Senior Wing, different houses were engaged in thrilling matches against each other in football, cricket, and basketball among other sports. In the Junior Wing, little athletes remained busy in events like pass the ball, ring balancing, relay race, balloon bursting, frog jump, wheel barrow, banana eating contest, backward racing, sack race and 20-m race that took place on the school’s ground.The Peninsula
