Doha: UAE has appointed a minister for happiness. Ohood Al Roumi is appointed as the new Minister of State for Happiness in UAE. She is currently the director-general of the Prime Minister’s office, and will retain that post.
The new cabinet was announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice-President of UAE.
In a series of tweets he introduced the new cabinet ministers.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: “Happiness in the UAE is not just a hope, there will plans, projects, programmes and indicators. It will be a part of the work of all our ministries and part of our lifestyle.”
Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi takes up the new post of Minister of State for Tolerance, having formerly been Minister of International Cooperation and Development.
