Doha: Letting fresh air into indoor spaces can prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), said the Hamad Medical Corporation.
"Covid-19 spreads easily in poorly ventilated homes and other settings. In poorly ventilated rooms the amount of virus in the air can build up, increasing the risk of spreading COVID-19, especially if there are lots of infected people in the room."
HMC added opening windows is the simplest way of improving ventilation - bringing fresh, outdoor air into your home helps keep virus particles from accumulating inside.
"If possible, maintain openings throughout the day to allow a constant flow of fresh air into the home."
It further added that if opening windows is not possible, other options can be considered for reducing virus particles in the air, such as using air filtration and bathroom and stove exhaust fans.
