Schoolchildren with in-kind donations provided to QC for poor workers.
Qatar Charity (QC) has received in-kind donations from schools and kindergartens under "Our Greetings” campaign for workers.
The campaign aims at helping low-income workers as a recognition of their great role in building Qatar, creating complementary relationship in the community and strengthening the social fabric, said Ali Al Gharib, Head of the Local Developmental Centers at QC.
QC is proud of its partnership with secondary and high schools inside Qatar, stressing that QC adopts all the projects and ideas submitted by students regardless of their levels of study and age.
QC received in-kind donations from "Al Marah Fi Aljewar" including clothing materials and thus Al Gharib presented his sincere thanks to Kid'n Around Kindergarten, pointing out that this donation is a clear indication of the volunteering and charity work in a society and confirming that inculcating such noble virtues in the hearts of young children will create better generations.
In a related context, the Indian Dar Es Salaam School, in collaboration with Qatar Charity Community Development Centre, launched an initiative of collecting amounts of used and suitable clothing to distribute to workers in Qatar.
Al Gharib received the donations from the school headmaster in the presence of Abdullatif Abdullah Hussein, Director of School Management Committee, who praised the efforts of the school students and administration for their continued cooperation with
QC.
QC launched its campaign, "Greetings for you," for workers for years, where thousands of workers benefited from the personal care tools that QC distributed to them on different occasions.
QC had also supported many initiatives for the benefit of workers; the latest campaign was “YESTAHLOON” (They Deserve Better), which was launched before the month of Ramadan. It enabled individuals and companies to buy shopping vouchers from TAYF, In-Kind Donations Program, and distribute them to workers in different regions.
