DOHA: It was a very hot and humid day yesterday and it isn’t going to be any different today, according to a weather forecaster.
Maximum humidity was 80 percent yesterday and coupled with the fact that day temperatures soared up to 42 degrees C, made things worse for people.
It isn’t going to be any different today as humidity is expected to peak at 70 percent, starting off from 20 percent early in the day.
The day is likely to be hotter than yesterday as the maximum temperature forecast is 46 degrees C in Doha.
In other places day temperatures will vary from 40 degrees C in Al Ruwais to 42 in Dukhan and Abu Samra and 45 in Messaieed, Al Wakra and Al Khor.
Mercury levels at night will drop to 33 degrees C in Doha, 32 in Al Ruwais, 29 in Dukhan, 30 in Abu Samra and Al Khor and 31 in Al Wakra and Messaieed.
The day will be hazy at first becoming very hot during daytime with slight dust hanging in the air at times and some clouds.
About high humidity levels, the weather forecaster said that August is the month known for high humidity.
Humidity levels would begin easing from the mid of next month.
