Doha: Temperatures are expected to rise by about 3 to 4°C above average from Sunday and last until Tuesday. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 37°C along northern coastal areas to 47°C in central areas.
In Doha, maximum temperatures expected to range between 45 to 47°C and minimums between 34 to 36°C.
Due to the extension of Indian monsoon seasonal low over the region, fresh to strong northwesterly winds is expected to affect most areas of the country during daytime from Sunday (10/7/2016) until Tuesday (12/07/2016).
The wind speed will range between 18-28 knots gusting to 38 knots sometimes over some areas causing blowing dust and a visibility reduction to 2 Km or less in some areas. In addition, wave heights are expected to rise ranging between 6-9 feet.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be cautious and to avoid venturing into sea during periods of strong winds as well as to avoid direct sunlight.
