Doha, Qatar: Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met separately today in London with the British National Security Adviser, HE Jonathan Powell, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, HE Hamish Falconer, and Minister of State for International Development at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, HE Baroness Jenny Chapman.
During the meetings, both parties reviewed the bilateral relations and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s full support for the ongoing mediation efforts, which pave the way for addressing the roots of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, and for reaching a sustainable agreement that prevents the resurgence of escalation.
