Doha, Qatar: The Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, is carrying out its awareness campaign titled 'a safe environment in every home.'
Targeting parents and guardians, the campaign aims to promote safe and violence-free home environments based on dialogue, support, and psychological well-being.
In a statement, AMAN said that the initiative stems from its preventive approach, which seeks to raise awareness of family safety, positive parenting, and child protection.
AMAN provides practical tools for dealing with psychological pressures within the home, thereby contributing to family stability and the protection of women and children.
In this context, Acting Executive Director of AMAN, Fadal Al Kaabi highlighted AMAN's conviction that the family unit is the first line of defense in protecting society, adding that fostering a safe home environment begins with awareness and empowerment.
The campaign aims to enhance family awareness of the essential skills needed to build strong and cohesive relationships among family members based on dialogue and mutual respect. Such relationships, he said, have a positive impact on child upbringing, the protection of women, and the overall stability and cohesion of the family.
Al Kaabi affirmed AMAN's commitment to expanding the reach of these awareness programs through partnerships with various entities as part of its social responsibility to prevent violence and improve family quality of life, in line with Qatar's vision for a cohesive and secure society under the Qatar National Vision 2030 and AMAN's new 2026-2030 strategy.
The idea behind campaign is to provide parents with awareness workshops and discussion sessions in coordination with several of AMAN's partners in both the public and private sectors, he added, these include the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Lusail University, the General Authority for Minors' Affairs, the Minaretein Center at Education City Mosque, Halima Al Saadia Primary School for Girls, and the Moza bint Fahd Quran Memorization Center.
Sessions have also been held at the Qatar National Library and the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, he noted, with more collaborations with additional government entities to come this year.
More than 400 people benefited from these awareness workshops during the second quarter of 2026, he said.
For her part, Director of the Community Awareness Department at AMAN, Bakhita Al Ghayathin, said that these awareness activities are part of AMAN's efforts to engage directly with families and provide practical, interactive educational content that enables parents to apply family safety concepts in their daily lives through simple and effective methods that promote dialogue and reduce negative behaviors at home.
Meanwhile, Director of the Communications and Media Office at AMAN, Hanan Al Ali, affirmed AMAN's commitment to delivering awareness workshops and discussion sessions that reflect the realities of family life and address the actual needs of families.
These efforts help raise sustainable awareness, one that positively impacts family stability and the well-being of its members, she said.
Al Ali underscored AMAN's endeavors to collaborate with as many partners as possible to strengthen community partnerships and offer high-quality programs that contribute to building a well-informed and secure society in which family serves as a nurturing environment for stability and safety.
