Doha: Ooredoo is sponsoring two Qatari racers, as part of its commitment to develop Qatar’s sporting talent and promote sports.
The sponsorship agreement will see drifting champion Abdulrahman Ahmed Fakhroo and karting sportsman Ahmad Shaheen Al Muhannadi sponsored for a year. Both will receive Ooredoo branded vehicles, helmets and jumpsuits.
Fakhroo has been participating in drifting motorsport professionally since 2015, and recently won Qatar Redbull Car Park Drift Championship. Al Muhannadi has competed with elite drivers from the Middle East and Europe.
Ooredoo’s sponsorship of Fakhroo and Al Muhannadi is part of initiatives the company has undertaken to encourage sports education and inspire more young people to take up sport. The company is a major supporter of sport across grassroots, national and international levels.The Peninsula
