DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 40.42 points, or 0.34 percent, when the bourse closed Tuesday at 11,943.50 points compared to 11,903.08 points on Monday.
The market capitalisation increased to QR636.80bn compared with QR634.21bn registered Monday.
The trading value today increased to QR203.27m with a volume of 4,151,038 from 3,201 transactions compared with QR161.71m with a volume of 3,494,274 shares from 2,800 transactions on Monday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the green today.
Consumer goods and services index gained the most, up 1.42 percent (7,374.24 points).
QSE Total Return Index gained 0.34 percent (18,560.81 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped 0.57 percent (4,603.46 points) and QSE All Share Index dropped 0.39 percent (3,196.66 points).
Investors traded shares of 42 from the 43 QSE-listed companies today. From these shares of 24 gained, 12 declined and six remained unchanged.
