Seoul: Video Home & Electronic Centre has completed 30 glorious years of association with LG in Qatar.
This special relationship was recognised by LG’s top management in South Korea which invited Video Home’s chairman and board of directors to a meeting to recognise and appreciate fruitful ties nurtured from humble beginnings to becoming a top brand in Qatar. Video Home’s Board Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani; Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Sajed Jassim Mohd Sulaiman; Director Ahmed Abdulla Al Khal; and Director & CEO C V Rappai visited South Korea in the last week of April.
They were received by LG’s top management, including Brian Na, Executive Vice-President, Global Marketing Office, on behalf of LG CEO; Jaeyoo Park, Senior Vice-President, Home Appliances & Air Solution; Yong Geun Choi, President, Gulf FZE; and officials from various product divisions. Jennifer Kim, General Manager, LG Qatar, was present. The board was presented with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the 30 years of partnership and special gold lapel pins were presented to board members. LG also organised a gala dinner to felicitate Video Home & Jumbo Electronics, attended by Mohamed Abdulla Al Dehaimi, Qatari Ambassador to South Korea; Mohamed A I Al Sada, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Qatari embassy; and Jassim M Al Moftah, Head of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the embassy.
Na reiterated Sheikh Ahmed’s views about the partnership to grow to greater heights and said Qatar’s ongoing and planned development projects as part of its National Vision 2030 present immense opportunities for mutual growth for Video Home & LG Electronics. “We will continue to strive for innovation for a better life from the consumer’s perspective which is the foundation of our ‘Life’s Good’ brand promise.
