Aspire Zone organised the third QBWA women Mentoring Walk (Walk and Talk) in Aspire Park to mark the International Women’s day. The event was sponsored by ADL-Q and Qatalum yesterday.
The walk was a part of the Vital Voices Global Mentoring walk that will take place in 80 countries around the world to mark the celebration of International Women’s Day, the Walk matched a group of pioneer Qatari business and society women along with a new generation of women with the aim of providing professional advice and guidance to them.
QBWA aims by hosting and organizing this function to connect young generation with more experienced Role models to talk while walking outdoors away from the formal framework and discuss professional challenges and the elements for success, and therefore build a distinctive interactive relationship between them.
Mishael Al Ansari, Board Member of the Qatari Businesswomen Association and Flag Bearer of the mentoring walk welcomed the participants and thanked them for taking the time to participate in this unique function.
She said: “The real motivation behind this walk is not only to exchange ideas, give tips and answer inquiries, But most importantly to unite with all other ladies in different parts of the World who will be doing the same exact activity on March 11th.”
“Today is also extra special since it marks the International Women’s day, a reminder for all of us to celebrate our achievements, our togetherness, and to support each other to overcome the challenges, and to be bold for change”, she added.
Mentoring enables established women leaders to inspire, encourage and help others tackle the challenges in their professional and personal growth. Women who have gone before and succeeded are in a unique position to guide and facilitate others to successfully navigate through similar obstacles in their career paths.
