Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued today, February 9, 2026, Amiri Decree No. 10 of 2026, reconstituting the Board of Trustees of Qatar University.
The decree stipulates that the Board of Trustees of Qatar University be reconstituted under the chairmanship of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, with HE Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani as Vice-President and with the following members: HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, HE Lulwah bint Rashid Al Khater, HE Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, HE Dr. Hanan bint Mohammed Al Kuwari, HE Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabet, HE Dr. Hessa bint Sultan Al Jaber, HE Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Nasser Khalil Al Jaidah, and Professor Dr. Hessa Mohammed Sadiq.
The decree also stipulates that the Chairman of the Board may add a number of individuals with competence, experience, and academic standing to the Board, from within or outside the State of Qatar.
The decisions are effective starting from their date of issue, and are to be published in the official gazette.
