To celebrate the 66th Independence Day of Sri Lanka, Gulf Paradise Hotel, in association with the Sri Lankan Embassy, is hosting a 10-day Sri Lankan food festival, called Flavours from Sri Lanka, for the sixth consecutive year. Jayantha Palipane, Sri Lankan Ambassador, Fouzi Mohideen, GM of the hotel, Riza Yusoof, Country Manager, Sri Lankan Airline, and Ghanim Mubarak Al Naemi, MD, City Travels, were present at the opening of the festival. Two chefs — Nalin and Clifford — have been specially flown in from Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, a leading hotel in Sri Lanka, for the event. The main partner sponsors for the event are Sri Lankan Airlines, Dilmah Tea, City Travels, Pepsi, Family Food Centre, Abdul Aziz, and Happy Land. The dinner buffet is open from 6pm to 11pm until February 15 at Al Thoraya Restaurant.
