Qatar participated in the 16th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting held in the Indonesian city of Bali. The Qatari delegation was headed by Minister of Administrative Development and Labour and Social Affairs H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi.
The Minister said that the State of Qatar was making every effort towards supporting its citizens and expatriates to improve the well-being of its residents and their families in labour-sending countries. This comes from the firm conviction of the State of Qatar under the wise leadership of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the importance of sustainable development as a key factor for the stability and prosperity of people, he said. The Minister also said that the decent work and the provision of protection and welfare of workers are one of the pillars of sustainable development in the State of Qatar which is proceeding confidently towards achieving its Vision 2030.
