Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated the Conveyor Belt Project owned by the State of Qatar, which began its work yesterday in Mesaieed port.
The project's completion was overseen by Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) along with government bodies. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Crown Prince of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, their excellencies, the ministers and ambassadors accredited to Qatar and guests.
At the beginning of the ceremony, verses from the Holy Quran were recited. Then a documentary film on the conveyer belt was screened.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister made a tour during which he inspected the project and its efficiency and absorptive capacity.
The Prime Minister earlier met with the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and the delegation accompanying him on the occasion of their visit to Qatar.
Talks during the meeting dealt with cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them in all fields.
