Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the Ministry of Public Health and Primary Health Care Corporation will host a series of events during the month of November in recognition of World Diabetes Day, screening thousands of residents across the country and raising awareness around how to better manage and prevent the disease.
Observed each year on 14 November, World Diabetes Day was introduced by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and WHO in 1991.
The awareness campaign is aimed at increasing understanding of diabetes risk factors, symptoms. and prevention.
