Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held yesterday at the Emiri Diwan a round of official talks with President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic.
They reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, culture and agriculture, and discussed a set of regional and international issues of common concern, especially developments in the Middle East.
The Emir and the Serbian President witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU). This included an agreement on the motivation and protection of mutual investments, a draft MoU in the field of youth and sports, a cooperation agreement in the cultural field, and a draft MoU in the field of agriculture between Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Republic of Serbia's Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection.
The Serbian president had arrived earlier at the Emiri Diwan where an official reception ceremony was held for him.
