The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, announced that it will close part of the existing diversion on Mesaieed Road towards Mesaieed tomorrow for a period of one year, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.
During this time, road users on Mesaieed Road travelling towards Mesaieed, will be diverted to a newly-built, two-lane, 2.8 kilometre road, along the closed part before continuing on their journey.
This diversion is the second of a two-phase diversion in the same location, which started last month, and it is required to facilitate the construction of a key interchange on Ashghal’s Al Wakra Bypass project. Ashghal has asked motorists to follow the 50 kph speed limit.
