Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) will host Qatar Green Building Conference 2016 – The Action’ from November 13 to 15 at Qatar National Conventional Center (QNCC), as announced at Bin Jelmood House, Msheireb Museum yesterday.
The annual conference will be held under the patronage of H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice-Chairperson and CEO of Qatar foundation, in the presence of academic researchers, sustainability experts, environmentalists and other industry practitioners, including urban planners, architects and property consultants from Qatar. The conference will examine several topics on sustainability, including ‘Sustainability as a Lifestyle’, ‘Green Business’, and ‘Future Sustainable Cities’, with a special focus on Qatar. “This year's edition of the Qatar green building conference aims to highlight and explore feasible ways to translate the nation’s sustainability goals into action, to promote vision 2030 as well as community engagement among relevant stakeholder. Leaders from around the world will gather in Morocco for COP 22 to discuss global sustainability topics,” said Meshal Al Shamari, QGBC Director.
