Dhaman to host Arab investment conference

DOHA: The Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman), in collaboration with Arab Planning Institute (API)  and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, will host “Arab Investment Meeting: Investment Attractiveness Gap” on December 11–12, 2013 at The Arab Organisation Building, in Kuwait.

The meeting will be attended by many leaders from the region, and officials involved in foreign investment and development planning in Arab countries from private and public sectors, as well as specialists and experts in the field of foreign investments.

The two-day meeting, convening under the theme “Investment Attractiveness Gap”, will address the practical ways to face the existing challenges and make use of the investment opportunities through partnership projects supporting development.

The forum aims to open the door for dialogue on a number of issues, including Exchange of information and experiences between the foreign investors in the Arab countries and the planning authorities in these countries; assess the inter-Arab and foreign investment situation and in the Arab world and reforms to be brought in to attract investments to the region.
