Doha: Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs H E Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari honoured 16 Qatari imams and khatibs who graduated from the 11th qualifying course during a ceremony at the Ministry’s headquarters. The course was organised from February to May. The lecturers were also honoured.
Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwari, Director, Mosques Department, and Head, Dawa and Guidance Department, said the number of Qatari imams and khatibs has reached over 200.
He said the Ministry has allocated incentives and rewards totalling up to QR7,000.
