805 abandoned vehicles removed in Industrial Area

DOHA: Some 805 abandoned vehicles, 2,823 old tyres and 1,845 tonnes of waste were removed during a clean-up campaign in Industrial Area last week.
It was held by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
The ministry also registered 269 violations and posted 1,285 warning posters on abandoned vehicles.
Several government entities participated in the campaign, including Doha Municipality, Lekhwiya, the Traffic Department and Al Fazaa.
The campaign is spearheaded by the Temporary Committee for Public Cleaning at the ministry.
Four teams of 240 members each and 80 equipment were involved in the campaign.
