DOHA: Rains lashed parts of the country, including Doha, yesterday, with the Met Office forecasting similar weather conditions from early this afternoon until tomorrow night.
There are chances of scattered rains between noon today and tomorrow night and the showers may be accompanied by thunder at times in some areas.
In a special bulletin yesterday the weather bureau, however, said the weather will stabilise from Thursday.
But humidity will be high later on Thursday due to which there would be fog from Thursday night until Friday morning.
The weather system affecting the country is expected to reactivate between noon today and tomorrow night.
Fresh to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly wind may move at speeds of 18 to 25 knots particularly during rains with thunder.
However, a ridge of high pressure would likely affect the country on Thursday causing stable weather conditions.
There would be a noticeable increase in surface relative humidity at night on Thursday and this would cause fog until Friday morning.
The bureau issued warning for offshore for today and said rains may lash with thunder at times.
Day temperatures would likely vary today between 23 and 26 degrees C during the day while nightly temperatures between 18 and 20 degrees.
Rain emergency teams meanwhile removed rainwater logged in some low-lying areas. The Peninsula
