Doha: The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of Israel's approval to build thousands of new settlement units in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem.
In a statement Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Israeli Knesset's adoption of settlement legislation law is a flagrant violation of international resolutions, especially UN Security Council Resolution
2334, and a blatant attack on the right of the Palestinian people.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed in its statement that the continuation of Israeli violations would undermine international efforts to implement the two-state solution.
The statement called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to enforce the Security Council resolutions and compel Israel to halt its settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.
