DOHA: Kentz Corporation Limited (Kentz) yesterday announced to establish a new business entity ‘Kentz Engineering International WLL’ in Qatar. The announcement was made during the two-day official visit of a high level trade mission accompanying the visiting Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.
This company is a subsidiary of Kentz Engineering International Ireland and was locally registered during December 2013.
Kentz is an engineering and construction business serving clients primarily in the oil and gas, petrochemical and mining and metals sectors.
In addition to hydrocarbons industry, the company will offer services in the transportation and infrastructure markets.
“The opening of this new operation in Qatar is a significant achievement, underpinning the tremendous success that Kentz has had in winning significant contracts to date in Qatar. It is a clear demonstration of the company’s commitment to the market and this move will allow them focus on growing and developing further sales in the region”, said Taoiseach Enda Kenny during his trade mission to Qatar.
Ireland’s Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton TD said: “Construction and engineering are sectors which we have targeted for growth as part of our strategy. I wish Kentz every success for opening this new venture.”
Kentz initially started operations in Qatar in 1997 working on construction projects. Over the last 16 years it has successfully completed over 70 projects.
