The Qatar volleyball team lost to Iran 3-0 in their second match of the Islamic Solidarity Games yesterday. The Games, which officially open today in Riyadh, began on Tuesday and will continue until November 21. The Qatari team will next face Chad tomorrow in their third match of the group stage. The sixth edition of the event features more than 3,000 athletes from 57 countries competing across 23 sports, including athletics, volleyball, camel racing and judo. Qatar is represented by 82 athletes competing in 16 disciplines, among them athletics, wrestling, volleyball, handball, taekwondo, table tennis, weightlifting, swimming, fencing and para-athletics.
