DOHA: Michelin-recommended restaurant La Mar by Gastón Acurio at InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa has announced “Trilogy of Cultures”, an extraordinary culinary evening celebrating the global influence and diversity of Peruvian cuisine.

For one exclusive night, three acclaimed chefs from the Acurio family of restaurants will come together to create an immersive dining experience, a journey through Peru’s rich cultural fusion of Japanese, Chinese, and traditional Criolla flavours.

Guests will enjoy a bespoke four-course menu, blending heritage and innovation through signature creations that reflect the chefs’ unique identities and international perspectives.

Chef Kaoru Chang, Executive Chef of La Mar Bellevue (Seattle), brings his refined interpretation of Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine — a delicate balance of precision and artistry. A third-generation Nikkei chef with over 19 years of experience, Chef Chang honed his craft at globally renowned institutions including Nobu Restaurant Group and Juvia Miami Beach.

His dishes showcase the harmony of Japanese technique and Peruvian soul, inspired by a lifetime of global travel and culinary exploration.

Chef Jesus Delgado, Corporate Executive Chef of JARANA & Tanta, introduces guests to the bold and comforting flavours of Chinese-Peruvian Chifa cuisine.

Born and raised in Lima, Chef Delgado’s culinary foundation began in his family’s kitchen before he pursued formal training at Le Cordon Bleu.

Chef Frank Ponce, Executive Chef of La Mar by Gastón Acurio, La Mar Beach, and Manko Doha, showcases Traditional Criolla cuisine — the heart and essence of Peru’s culinary heritage.

The Trilogy of Cultures menu is a masterful symphony of taste and technique, featuring dishes that tell the story of Peru’s multicultural legacy. Together, the chefs have invited guests to experience Peru’s past and future through the universal language of food, where heritage, innovation, and storytelling converge at La Mar Doha’s stunning coastal setting.
