DOHA: One week after the second round of Qatar International Enduro (QIE) took place, the third round of this championship is back at Sealine tomorrow.
In the E1 category, Abdulla Al Shatti is leading his category with 90 points.
The Kuwaiti rider, the defending champion in his category, has been on the podium in all of the races of this season.
Mubarak Al Ali from UAE is second with 72 points and in third position is Barak Al Jasmi with 70 points.
The winners of the last round, Germany’s Tycho Lieske and Mohammed Jaffar from Kuwait are in seventh and eighth positions respectively in the standings.
The Emirati rider Mohammed Al Balooshi is leading the E2 category with 91 points with one victory and three second places in the previous rounds.
Moaath Al Ansari is second with 65 points.
The Kuwaiti rider had a technical problem in the second race of the last round and he didn’t get any points. Saeed Al Shenqiti with 58 points is in third position.
In the last round, in the E2 category, the British Honda rider Sam Sunderland in his first participation in QIE won both races and he is in fifth place in the points.
Obaid Al Kitbe is leading the quads category with 50 points.
Today, there will be documentation from 14.00 to 19.00 and scrutineering will be from 17.00 to 20.00 at Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) head offices.
Tomorrow, the event at Sealine starts at 7.45am with one hour of free practice.
The first race is scheduled at 10.00am and the second race of the day is at 12.45pm.
