Doha, Qatar: Qatar Foundation launched the fifth season of its educational cartoon series ‘Siraj’, part of its Pre-University Education initiatives, with a special event at Place Vendôme Mall that welcomed many children and families.
This season includes 10 new episodes covering educational and cultural themes. The first episode highlights the Qatar–Chile–Argentina 2025 Year of Culture, reflecting Qatar Foundation’s (QF) mission to encourage openness to other cultures and intercultural dialogue.
The season also focuses on topics such as artificial intelligence, technology, and the environment, explained in a simple and engaging way to inspire children and help them understand the world around them. The launch event featured an exclusive screening of the opening episode, along with interactive activities where children met their favourite characters, Rashid and Noura, who brought fun and excitement to the occasion. Children also joined educational games and creative activities that combined learning with play.
Director of Communications and Outreach at QF’s PUE, Buthina Al-Derham said: “Siraj reflects QF’s steadfast commitment to delivering meaningful Arabic educational content that instills positive values and develops children’s life skills through an approach that combines learning, enjoyment, and direct interaction.
“With the launch of its fifth season, we continue our mission of strengthening children’s connection to their language and identity, while also introducing them to contemporary topics that enable them to keep pace with today’s rapidly changing world.
“Siraj has been an inspiring educational platform for Arabic-speaking children, providing them with valuable knowledge that instills human values and equips them with essential life skills.”
Al-Derham noted that the Siraj series reflects QF’s approach to providing an educational experience that goes beyond traditional knowledge.
The activities for Siraj’s fifth season will run at Place Vendôme Mall until October 11. Families can watch the first episode before its official release at the mall, meet Rashid and Noura, and enjoy fun activities. Tickets are available through the Snoonu app. From October 11, all episodes will be released weekly on the Siraj YouTube channel.
