• There was a suggestion to establish an emergency section at health centres, equipped with facilities for the treatment of non-serious cases, to eliminate crowds and long queues at the main hospital, as the number of visitors and patients are on the rise.
• There were talks about the new venue for Dareb Al Saie, the annual festival which marks Qatar’s National Day and introduces Qatar’s history and heritage to the new generation. The new site is near the February 22 Road, with links to many roads, instead of the Al Saad area where the festival has been held so far.
• People demanded strict monitoring of trucks coming from Mueied, loaded with sand but uncovered and said other motorists were exposed to dust and sand spilling out these trucks.
• Many Independent school operators complained about difficulty in implementing new directives and restrictions related to MERS, issued by the SEC in accordance with recommendations by the SHC. Operators said the directive to provide a space of one metre between students inside the class is not easy to implement.
• There were complaints that municipalities were not conducting pest control campaigns as before and that private companies were exploiting the situation as pest problem is on the rise at homes and workplaces.
• Many citizens demanded that construction companies must be strictly monitored by authorities as many people were not aware of issues related to building materials used by contractors and discovered several deficiencies in their buildings.
• People demanded that authorities monitor archaeological sites by beefing up security to prevent visitors from causing damage. They said festivals and other events should be held to increase awareness about the importance of Qatari heritage, culture and monuments.
