Strong winds and low visibility likely today

DOHA: The Meteorology Department has warned of strong winds and forecast low horizontal visibility at places inshore today. Temperature would see a slight fall today, as hot and humid weather continues to prevail in the country.
According to the Department, inshore weather will remain hot in the daytime with slight to blowing-dust at places at times while it will remain humid at night. Offshore weather forecast for today is slight dust with clouds.
Minimum temperature in Doha would be 33 degrees Celsius while maximum would touch 40 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature in Mesaieed and Wakrah would remain 30 degrees Celsius while it would touch a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius.
There will be slight decrease in temperature today as compared to yesterday. The maximum temperature yesterday was 42 degrees Celsius in Doha, Messaid and Wakrah.
Inshore winds will remain Northwesterly – Northeasterly 12-20 KT reaching 25 KT at places at times and will decrease by the evening to 03-10 KT while offshore winds will also be Northwesterly – Northeasterly 08-18 KT reaching 22 KT to the north at first.
Visibility will be 4-8 km / 3 km or less at places while inshore sea state is 1-3 FT reaching 4 FT at times while offshore sea state will be 3-5 FT rising to 7 FT to the north.
