DOHA: Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company, ‘Muntajat’ yesterday confirmed to have signed an agreement with JSC Belaruskali, the Belarussian state-owned potash producing giant with 16 percent global market share, to sell up to three million tonnes of the crop nutrient chemical used in fertilisers worldwide, a press statement said.
The marketing agreement was signed at Muntajat headquarters here earlier this week, attended by Muntajat and Belaruskali executives.
Abdulrahman Ali Al Abdulla, CEO of Muntajat, said: “The agreement to sell potash from Belarus marks a strategic evolution of Muntajat’s business. In addition to acting as the gateway to the chemicals, polymers and fertilisers produced in Qatar, we are expanding to complementary products as part of our global operations.”
