Doha: Qatar condemned the armed attacks on a military base in the town of Poso in southeast Niger, killing at least 30 soldiers and wounding 67 others.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry stressed Qatar’s solidarity with Niger and its people and its full support for all efforts to maintain security and stability in the country.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance which rejects violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, whatever its motives and causes.
It expressed Qatar’s condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
