Doha: Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Education Conference 2016 opens this morning.
The two-day conference is organised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education under the theme ‘Learning leadership: Contemporary visions’, at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The forum will focus on educational issues, including modern educational leadership and its role in quality management, the concept of education centred on 21st century skills to enable and develop the role of teachers in the educational process, proposals for the application of the current education system, educational solutions applicable in the classroom, and special education in terms of reflections and future visions about the best local and international educational practices in the development of teaching thinking and care for people with disabilities and the gifted people, among others. It will feature some 104 training programmes, nine lectures, 16 working papers and 46 educational practices.
On the sidelines, a teaching professional exhibition will provide educational solutions for teachers in the leadership of teaching and learning processes according to the latest teaching trends.
The conference is an also opportunity for educators to share knowledge, information, experiences and research presented by management specialists, academics, experts and educators in various fields in the Arab world. It is an international forum to present and discuss challenges, opportunities as and proposed solutions and innovations in the field of education.
